In Pittsburgh City Council, congratulations to City Council President, Dan Lavelle on his re-election to an unprecedented fifth term. Dan has worked tirelessly in providing an affordable and safe Pittsburgh and has always had an open-door policy for anyone who wants a better future for Pittsburgh. We look forward to working further with the Councilman on issues that shape our skyline.
Congratulations to City Councilman Anthony Coghill, my representative, on re-election to a third term. A roofer by training, Anthony understands common-sense development. His ongoing work in neighborhood development is a hallmark of NAIOP Pittsburgh.
Congratulations to City Councilwoman Erika Strassburger on her re-election to a third term. Erika’s leadership on the inclusionary zoning debate has brought a thoughtful and much-needed perspective to the discussion. NAIOP Pittsburgh looks forward to continued collaboration with her as we work toward practical, inclusive housing solutions.
Last but certainly not least, congratulations to our newest City Councilmember Kim Salinetro. Kim is no stranger to City Council, having served the public for more than sixteen years as Chief of Staff to Councilwoman Kail-Smith. We look forward to seeing how her years of experience and dedication will positively impact our community.
Finally, we would also like to extend our gratitude to Councilwoman Kail-Smith for her years of service on the Pittsburgh City Council. A member of Council since 2009, she has served as chairperson for the Committee on Public Works, Citiparks, Public Safety, and has served as Council President Pro Tempore, and served two terms as Council President. She has been a friend to the development community and will be missed!
