Our chapter received three prestigious awards during this week’s event at the Capital Hilton, for our work completed in 2025: Tom Frank was honored with the Outstanding Leadership by a Chapter Executive award, Nate Phillips received the Outstanding Leadership by a Chapter President award, and NAIOP Pittsburgh was named NAIOP’s Chapter of the Year. These achievements reflect the dedication and collaborative efforts of our entire leadership team and membership.
Joining Tom and Nate in Washington are #NAIOPPittsburgh Past President Brandon Snyder, Secretary Clayton Morris, Board Members Kelsey Kanspedos, R.L.A., Jackie Bezek, Aaron Roach, and Benjamin Kelley, along with Chapter Lobbyist David Caliguiri, Chapter Administrator Erica Loftus, and Advocacy Committee Member Lance Chimka.
Tomorrow, our delegation takes these priorities to Capitol Hill for meetings with Pennsylvania’s congressional representatives. Our advocacy focus centers on three critical federal priorities that directly impact commercial real estate development and economic growth: comprehensive energy policies to address the surging demand for electricity driven by data centers, manufacturing, and electrification; adaptive reuse incentives through the bipartisan Revitalizing Downtowns and Main Streets Act to convert underutilized commercial buildings into housing; and continued investment in transportation infrastructure essential to supporting development and commerce. These federal priorities align with our mission to advance responsible commercial real estate development while addressing the evolving needs of our communities and economy.
